⭐ Paritūtū Korokio — Local Endemic
Corokia cotoneaster var. Paritūtū
Found essentially nowhere else on Earth. Look for: zigzag black branches, tiny grey-green leaves, yellow star flowers (spring), orange-red berries (autumn). Grows on the cliff face above the scrub zone. Primary threat: gorse competition at summit.
